Don't let friends and family manage your divorce.

Although you may love to receive the advice of family and friends on many aspects of your daily life, when it comes to getting a separation or divorce, an exception has to be made. I'm not saying you should shun their advice altogether, but you would be best off taking whatever they tell you with a grain of salt. According to the following Forbes article written by Jeff Landers, Certified Divorce Financial Analyst (CDFA), failure to take their advice in this way can cost you hundreds of thousands of dollars of your future life's savings.
